Announcements from May 15th

Congregational Meeting and Call Update
Last Sunday at 4:00, the people of Faith got together to determine how we could best serve the children of our church and community with our school.  The congregation voted to refrain from calling a principal in this coming year.  Instead, the classrooms will be reconfigured so that Mrs. Z. will teach grades 1-4 and Mr. Z. will teach grades 5-8 as well as serving as the interim administrator of the school. We will continue with our strong preschool ministry led by Melissa Mittelstadt.  Additionally, the congregation voted to call  a Kindergarten teacher. The Lord has answered our prayers by blessing our congregation with Leah Snyder who graduated from Martin Luther College yesterday. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!
In addition to these changes, the congregation voted to establish a Board of Education which will be led by laypeople of our congregation and possibly other WELS congregations. For more information, contact Channing Lillo.

Thinking of doing some spring cleaning?
Wondering what to do with the unwanted items?  We have a solution!  Set them aside until May 21st for the school and camp parking lot sale.  The proceeds from this sale will benefit the sprinkler fund and the school.  Due to limited storage at this facility, please keep your items until May 16th.

Range Day - May 21st at noon.
The fellowship committee will be hosting a range day at Rabbit Creek Range.  There will be an opportunity for both pistol and rifle shooting.  Bring your own firearm with eye and ear protection.  We will have targets and guns/equipment you can borrow as well.  Contact Jed Else for more information at jedediah.j.else@gmail.com.

Schneck Picnic June 5th at 4:00pm
We will have an opportunity to fellowship with the Schnecks before they leave for their new calls this summer.  Plan to come let the Schnecks know how important they have been to the ministry at Faith. We will be having a picnic at Jewel Lake Park Pavilion.  To sign up for the picnic visit signupgenius.com/go/904054ba5a72ba57-schnecks

The sprinkler project will again be in full swing beginning the first of June.  Sprinklers will be installed downstairs over the  summer.  Volunteers are needed to help with the renovations.  The property committee will now be meeting every Tuesday at 5:30.  These first meetings will be focused on scheduling, selection of lights, paint, and cabinets.  Once school is out for the summer, classrooms will be emptied and demo begins.  The plan is to have work nights on Tuesday and Thursdays through out the summer just like we did with the preschool remodel.  No experience is needed to volunteer just a willingness to help.  The plan is to have meals for  work nights as well.  Come to the meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 to volunteer or contact Mike Klebs at Mike.Klebs@gmail.com.
In the coming weeks, more information regarding the Sprinkler Fund will be posted in the bulletin.  For any questions, contact Channing Lillo at Channing.Lillo@gmail.com.
