Preschool Update from Miss Wendland

Preschool is rolling along wonderfully. I like to think of the the 4 girls who have been here the longest as the "originals". And now in the start of this new year I think they will have the chance to become "leaders". This January I have received significantly more inquiries and calls about the preschool. Last week I enrolled another full time child - and a boy! So we are at 5 children total now for enrollment. I am anticipating another 2 children to enroll within the next few weeks. It has been wonderful to see how the girls take pride in gently teaching the routine to our new student. It's been great to add a boy to the classroom dynamic as well. He has fit in extremely well and I think what has helped with that is the fact that the girls model behavior and routine.

With more children comes the need to think about more staff. When the 7th child is officially enrolled, we will also need to have interviewed and hired another staff member. Please, if you are interested at all, or think this may be something you enjoy, speak to me! I would like to have some options in place before we reach that critical point of needing somebody - and that will be soon!

As we get closer to Spring, I'm sure we will receive many more inquiries about the preschool for next year. So if you know of anybody with preschool-aged children who are looking for a preschool, please send them our way. We have plenty of spots available right now, and we'll fill them on a first come, first served basis. I have a feeling our "plenty of spots available" status won't last long.

I'd also appreciate if you'd help spread the word for our Preschool Open House on February 15th. It runs from 10:00AM-1:00PM that Saturday morning. If anyone you know is interested in checking out a preschool and finding out more information about program options, that Open House would be the perfect opportunity.

And finally, the last two parents that have walked through for a tour of our facility have LOVED the fact that we have little half walls for the bathroom. So no matter how weird it may seem to some of us, parents are liking that fact!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
Miss Wendland
